Mickey Mouse cartoon character created in 1928 by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks at The Walt Disney Studio.Mickey Mouse is an anthropomorphic black mouse and typically wears red shorts, large yellow shoes, and white gloves.He is one of the most recognizable cartoon characters in the world.Mickey first appeared animated in color in Parade of the Award Nominees in 1932, however the film strip was created for the 5th Academy Awards ceremony and was not released to the public. Mickey's official first color film came in 1935 with The Band Concert. The Technicolor film process was used in the film production. Here Mickey Mouse cartoon conducted the William Tell Overture, but the band is swept up by a tornado.Also in 1935, Walt would receive a special award from the League of Nations for creating Mickey Mouse cartoon.
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is an American children's television series, that premiered in prime time on Disney Channel on May 5, 2006. The program was originally part of the Playhouse Disney daily block intended for preschoolers. On February 14, 2011, it was moved to the Disney Junior block, serving as Playhouse Disney's replacement, and later on Disney Channel every Sunday night.
Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, and Pluto star in the series, which focuses on interacting with the viewer to stimulate problem solving. Pete, Clarabelle Cow, Ludwig Von Drake, Chip 'n' Dale, Willie the Giant, Butch, Figaro the Kitten, Humphrey the Bear, Salty the Seal, and Mortimer Mouse have made guest appearances.
